Global education is about sharing the positive learning and understanding that comes from our international volunteer work. It is about developing skills and attitudes which enable people to take responsibility for their own lives and the world we live in and become active global citizens.
Our global education work is based on;
engaging people in a way that is relevant to them
expanding horizons and breaking down perceived borders and barriers
enabling participation in further Xchange Scotland activities or projects
achieving Curriculum for Excellence outcomes
Examples of global education work we have done so far include our project on Sectarianism, going into Secondary Schools in Glasgow.
We have also been involved in creative activism projects, youth exchange and poster-writing workshops with young and old.
